1960: The Beatles perform for the first time in Hamburg; Germany.

1961: Robert Zimmerman, Known as Bob Dylan, performs for the first time at folk city, a Greenwich Village Club.

1963: The Beatles record “Please Please Me” .Another British group takes the name The Rolling Stones. Martin Luther King,Jr. leads the demonstration on Washington.

1964: The Beatles arrive in the US to a hysterical welcome. In San Francisco the warlocks (later known as the Grateful Dead) start performing.

1965: Dylan Is booed at the Newport Folk Festival. He records the album Highway 61 Revisited, which includes the historic cut “like a rolling stone:, The Rolling Stones record “I Cant Get No (Satisfaction)”

1967: The Beatles’ Sgt.Pepper and Jimi Hendrix’s Are You Experienced? come out. The first Monterey festival takes place. There is demonstration in several US cities.

1976: The Sex Pistols release their first single, “Anarchy in the UK”. Bruce Springsteen’s successes grow with Born To Run.

1979: Pink Floyd’s album The Wall is released.

1980: John Lennon is murdered.

1982: Michael Jackson’s album Thriller comes out. The compact disk (CD) is launched.

1984: Springsteen releases Born In The USA and undertake one of the most successful tours in rock history.

1987: U2’s album The Joshua Tree hits number one all over the world. Nirvana debuts.

1991: Nirvana releases Nevermind, which would ultimately sell 10 million copies. Metallica’s album Metallica is released.

Kurt Cobain

1994: Kurt Cobain bunuh diri. Bjork’s first appearance with the album debut (1993), draws critical and popular interest.

1995: The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and Museum opens in Cleveland, Ohio and features costumes and instruments used by rock music performers, original song manuscripts and film showing rock music performances and history.
